South African produced movie, Material, was premiered at Suncoast last week. The movie stars comedic genius, Riaad Moosa, who is appearing in his first movie role. Loosely based on certain moments in Moosa's life, the movie stars South African-born, British actor, Vincent Ebrahim (of Kumars at Number 42), Durban-born beauty, Carishma Basday, Joey Rasdien and a host of other South African actors.

The movie takes the audience through the life of a young Muslim man who secretly pursues a career in comedy, much to the disapproval of his stoic father. Speaking to the Chatsworth Tabloid, Moosa said that as much as he enjoyed the dynamics of the role, he will not take up acting.
