Nayager`s coffin being taken to the Clare Estate Crematorium Hall.

Friends of Glen Nayager had a chance to say their last good-byes at his funeral, which was held in Bayview and Clare Estate Crematorium on Friday, 27 January. Nayager suffered a heart attack and passed away on Wednesday, 25 January. Ministers Naren Singh and Kamal Panday as well as former KZN Provincial Commissioner Hamilton Ngidi heaped praises on Nayager`s crime fighting abilities. Nayager lay in the coffin with a smile on his face.

He was cleared of all criminal charges against him and was fighting charges of sexual harassment, dating back to 2009.

Nayager was the Station Commander at Sydenham SAP where he won the hearts of many residents who made mention of his hands-on approach during his tenure.
