Baum is the girl to beat!

Surfing sensation, Sarah Baum, silenced her critics when she scored near perfect results in the first round of the ASP World World Junior Championships, top scoring with the day's highest heat total of 18.53, Out of 20.00 on Sunday, 22 January. Baum defeated Quincy Davis (USA) and Felicity Palmateer (AUS) posting a phenomenal near perfect 9.93 (out of 10) and 8.60 (also out of 10) signaling to her competitors that she will be the girl to beat at this event.

The Billabong ASP World Junior Championship is the final stop on the 2011 ASP World Junior Tour and took place at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast of Australia. The event features the top 45 Junior Men plus three wildcards and the top 17 Women plus one wildcard.
