Sparks Road drug dealers arrested - drugs seized
Four drug dealers were arrested and R2000 worth of drugs was seized after officers from the Durban Metro Police stormed an alleged drug den in Sparks Road on Monday 15 December 2008.
Head of the Metro Police Suburbs Superintendent Anand Maharaj heaped praise on the community for coming forward with information.
He said Police officers Rishal Jumbo, Sipho Nkwanyana and Lothe set a trap and purchased drugs from the dealers. The alleged Sparks Road drug den has been in operation for more than two decades.
"We were able to find rock cocaine to the value of two thousand rands hidden in the building. Four suspects including two drug lords were arrested for dealing in suspected rock cocaine. They would appear in court soon," said Supt Maharaj.
