Speaker hands out food parcels
It was a festive mood at the Vultures Sports Ground in Watersmeet when the Speaker of the Provincial Legislature, MPL Willis Mchunu, returned to his roots. Mchunu grew up in ePageni, and still has family in the Watersmeet area. His decision to have a special Christmas party for all the elderly was well received, and many turned out in their special outfits. It was indeed a joyous occasion. While the Speaker funded the Christmas lunch, the municipality assisted by providing transport for 325 people from the 13 rural wards, 108 from the urban areas together with the Amakhosi and landowners in the area.
