Woodview Aquatic Swimmers complete \"Capital K\" swim
43 swimmers from Woodview Aquatic Club completed the 1000m Capital K swim and received well deserved medals for their remarkable achievement.
The event was held at Midmar Dam on November 23. A number of swimmers from the club have participated in the annual open water event.
The club is extremely proud of this year's achievement. Thilona Arumugam and Fabian Brijlall went the extra mile and swam the 3km event as well as the 1km that was attempted by all the other swimmers. This was a first for the club and has most certainly motivated the others to do likewise. Their youngest first time swimmers to complete the event were Jashin Inderjith (7) and Ajna Singh (8).
Woodview Aquatic Club has resumed their training at the Stanmore Swimming Pool since October. Learners of all ages took to the water with great enthusiasm and first time swimmers were encouraged by eager parents. Swimming is a pro active sport and encompasses a total body workout.
