Don’t be caught guilty this Christmas
Police presence has increased as the build-up to the Christmas period begins.
Fifty-eight motorists were arrested for drinking and driving. Metro Police held two roadblocks simultaneously. In the first roadblock, Metro officers arrested 21 motorists. In a combined effort between the Road Traffic Inspectorate, the SAPS and Metro Police thirty-seven motorists were arrested during the second roadblock.
Head of Metro Police Suburbs Superintendent Anand Maharaj said that these enforcements would continue in the suburbs.
